Headed down to Neals Yard maturing arches this morning. What a cheese fest! Tried some fantastic British cheeses, among the best a rare cheese called St.James, only 6 cheeses are made each day for only 5 months of the year!
I made Smoked Mackeral Kedgeree the other day. Slightly different taste than if I had made it in the more common way, with Smoked Haddock. But as Mackeral is much more sustainable, I thought that I would give it a try!
Buy all of my meat from these guys, just 10 times better than anywhere else. They are so dedicated to supplying great meat. This is a Norfolk White chicken that I bought from them, will set you back about £15 though! But then when you think about it whats £15 for an amazing chicken when my Mrs, spends £100 on a pair a boots that she'll wear 3 times! And it was so big I managed to get 6 large portions from 1 bird!
Been on a few trips down to New Covent Garden market lately, heres a few pics of a few bits I came across. Among them some lovely garlid, multicoloured carrots, wild asparagus and sweet tomatoes.
